Employees
Employees are basically covered by the law regarding workers’ inventions, which is reviewed in Mads Bryde Andersen’s free e-book “Law on workers’ inventions – with comments”.
It applies to employees that they have a duty to disclose their inventions to their employer. The employer can then require an invention to be transferred to the company. If the scope of the invention falls outside the employee’s normal activities, the employee is entitled to compensation.
It is possible to make agreements regarding rights to an invention, and rules regarding this issue is usually touched upon in the employment contract.
